Business Bootcamps

Swansea University’s Business Bootcamp

This five-day intensive Business Bootcamp is designed to support student entrepreneurs at early, development and launch stages, equipping them with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to validate, develop, and progress their business ideas.

The programme combines practical workshops, real-world insights from guest speakers, and structured independent work, culminating in personalised expert guidance to help students define clear next steps.

This in-person bootcamp will be held on Singleton Campus from 8th – 12th June 2026.

Days 1-3 include workshops and guest speakers from 10am – 1pm.

Days 4-5 include expert 121s and next steps. Participants will be allocated a time to meet with their experts. See Format below for more details.

Objectives:

  • Enable students to validate and refine their business ideas 
  • Build confidence in key entrepreneurial skills (research, finance, marketing, pitching) 
  • Provide exposure to real-world entrepreneurial journeys 
  • Support tangible progress towards launching or growing a venture 
  • Offer tailored guidance through expert 1-2-1 sessions

Day 2: Financing & Funding

Day 3: Marketing & Pitching

Day 4 & 5: Expert 121s and next steps

Format:

Days 1 – 3 will follow a consistent, structured format: 

  • 10:00 – 12:00 → Interactive Workshop 
  • 12:00 – 13:00 → Guest Speaker (real-world insight + Q&A) 
  • 13:00 onwards → Independent Action Task 

The bootcamp emphasises learning by doing, with each day building towards a clearer, more developed business proposition. 

Days 4 – 5 will be expert 121s and next steps: 

  • 9am – 4:30pm 

Participants will have a 30 minute 121 with a Business Adviser and a 30 minute 121 with a Marketing Expert (1-hour total). You will only be required on-campus for the duration of your 2x30min meetings, on either June 11th or June 12th and will be notified in advance of your time slots.

REQUIREMENTS –
1) Have a business idea in mind or be new to trading.
2) Be available to attend for all the dates listed above.
