Welcome to the Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law

We look forward to meeting you in Welcome Week! There is a varied programme of events throughout the week, which we hope will inform and motivate you as you begin your studies with us. You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to socialise with your coursemates and learn about all the support available to you.

Your Welcome Week timetable is below; please make every effort to attend the sessions marked compulsory and get involved in as many of the other activities as possible!

Please also take note of sessions that are only for specific groups of students e.g., some are for LLB Law and Criminology students only etc.

Please take note that your teaching timetable is different to the Welcome Week timetable below. Learning and teaching begins on Monday 29th September and you will find out how to access your teaching timetable during Welcome Week.

Thursday 25th September

11am-12pm  Year in Practice Session (Room G36, Ground Floor, Richard Price Building) **Compulsory for students on a Year in Practice programme pathway only**

Information session for students on a Year in Practice programme.

 

12:00-2:00pm  Personal Tutor Meetings **Compulsory**

During this 1-hour session, you will meet your Personal Tutor group for the first time! Your Personal Tutor will be in contact via email to let you know the specific time and details for your meeting. There are also meetings taking place on Tuesday 23rd, you will only have a tutor meeting on one of these days.

Your Personal Tutor will be in touch arrange regular meetings throughout the year, and will be able to support you with a range of queries including; signposting to pastoral support, academic guidance, employability and more. You can find out who your mentor is and their contact details by logging into your individual Intranet page, under Course Details > Course Contacts.

 

2:00-3:00pm OR 3:00-4:00pm Workshop: Introduction to Studying Law **Compulsory**

This is a small group session, which introduces you to studying law and provides the opportunity to work together with other students on your course.
