Undergraduate Tuition Fees

From the 2026-27 academic year, the tuition fee cap will increase for full-time undergraduate courses in Wales and England. Your tuition fees at Swansea University will therefore be adjusted to £9,790, in line with other universities.

This increase will help to ensure universities can continue delivering high-quality education and cohesive support for students.

Your Tuition fees in 2026/27 will be £9790.

If you are studying for your first degree you will not have to pay the tuition fees upfront, as a Welsh student you will be eligible for:

• A repayable tuition fee loan of £9790

Students from the Channel Islands and Isle of Man will be charged in line with home students.  

Your Tuition fees in 2025/26 will be £9535.

If your course includes a Sandwich Year (either a Year in Industry/Year in Applied Research or a Year Abroad) your standard Tuition Fee costs will be reduced pro-rata for the session the Sandwich Year applies, this is normally the 3rd year of a 4 year programme.

• For a Year in Industry you will be charged 20% of the agreed standard fee
• For a Year in Applied Research you will be charged 20% of the agreed standard fee 
• For a Year Abroad you will be charged 15% of the agreed standard fee

• Social Work & Graduate Entry in Medicine (GEM): Tuition Fees will be £9535.
• Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic Science and Healthcare courses: If you are funded by the NHS (fees and bursary) your fees will be covered in full.  If you opt-out and self-fund the Tuition Fees will be £9535.

If you are sponsored by an external organisation such as a Charity, Employer or Overseas Government/Agency please ensure that your full funding details are scanned to studentfinance@swansea.ac.uk prior to your enrolment.

If you do not have an official letter from your organisation please arrange with your sponsor to complete a Confirmation of Sponsorship / Cadarnhad Nawdd form.

If you withdraw from your program early (or suspend your studies) you may be eligible for a refund.
