We're a fun and relaxed society focused on two things: great, varied socials and good welfare and support for our members. Our main goal is to ensure that all our events are a comfortable safe space for all our members and to create an atmosphere that people of all walks of life can openly enjoy.
We hold weekly socials and we always try to keep a balance between drinking and non-drinking, to keep costs down and to ensure that everyone will find something to enjoy.
The LGBT+ Allies Programme is a simple mailing list that anyone at the university can join - staff, students, alumni, or visitors/supporters. Programme members receive bi-monthly email updates about LGBT+ equality work at Swansea University.
Email content will include LGBT+ events/initiatives at the university, LGBT+ news/events/initiatives in the Swansea community (where relevant), links to occasional relevant articles of interest, and any notable national news or policy changes.
Our Advice and Support Centre gives free, independent, and confidential advice and representation to Swansea University students.
We cover all areas of student issues; from money worries, academic troubles, and housing problems. We can even advise you on legal issues and support you with personal matters.
Our service is run by experienced, friendly advisors who are available for private appointments during weekdays. Just pop us an email or pick up the phone to arrange one.
We are also a third party reporting centre for hate crime.
