Swansea University is pleased to offer a weekly initiative aimed at reducing food waste while supporting our student community. Local supermarkets generously donate fresh food items that are approaching their sell-by date, ensuring these products are put to good use rather than going to waste.
Come and visit the Multifaith Centre on Singleton Campus at the start of each week to collect any items you may need, from pastries to fruit and veg there is plenty on offer. There is no sign‑up required, simply drop in from 9:30am on Monday and help yourself to the available food. This initiative is open to all students and encourages sustainability, community support, and reduced waste across campus.

The surplus food is laid out every Monday morning on the main table in the Multifaith Centre lounge area. For access, head towards Penmaen building and press the button to open the main door.

A new community fridge has also been added to the Multifaith Centre on Singleton Campus! Here, you will find surplus food left over from that day, ranging from pasties and sausage rolls to more! This fridge is restocked daily, so be sure to pop down and check out what's on offer - you may find a tasty treat to enjoy with your lunch! The fridge can be found on the left hand side when you enter through the main door.
