MyUniVoice

MyUniVoice is structured as a discussion board, broken down into two key areas:

1. The private section - in this area you can ask questions, post ideas, give praise and raise issues between you, your classmates and your Reps in private. Staff do not have access to this area, and therefore cannot see the posts you make here. If your post attracts enough comments and votes, your Rep will move it into the public area, and only then can staff view it. If your post requires a response from staff (if it can't be dealt with by Reps), then your Rep must move it to the public section.
2. The public section - in this area, staff are able to see your post. This means that staff can now provide a response, answer your question or ask for more information in order to deal with the topics raised in the post.

Remember, if you choose to post anonymously, students, staff and Reps cannot identify you.

Access: only board admins will be able build new Touchpoints and Pulse surveys.

MyUniVoice has launched Touchpoints as a way of supporting student engagement before, during and after student voice meetings such as a 'Student Staff Forum'. The tool allows staff to pose questions, students to provide comments and prioritise items to form the meetings' agenda. Following the meeting, notes and actions can be added directly into Touchpoints to ensure it is really clear what was discussed and what will happen next.

MyUniVoice has launched Pulse as a really quick tool for gathering feedback. The tool allows staff to pose questions which can be quickly completed by students, this tool is particularly useful following an event or activity where staff can gain a sense of how the students enagaged and if they enjoyed the event.

On the Discussion Boards: your feedback is reviewed by Student Reps and if need be, escalated to appropriate staff members. You can choose to post your feedback anonymously or not. You will get a response to your feedback either in the of an update or a final response from a relevant member of staff.

Via Touch Points: your feedback is always anonymous and staff will utilise the feedback during the meeting to ensure they discuss the items that are highest priority to students. Following the meeting, updates and actions will be provided via Touchpoints and only staff members responsible for undertaking the action will be named on the platform.

Via Pulse: your feedback is always anonymous and staff will utilise the feedback within their relevant teams. The feedback will only be accesible to specific members of staff, these are called 'Board Admins'. They will be responsible for setting up and closing the Pulse and reviewing all of the feedback.

All users agree to terms of use. This includes the three-strike policy for inappropriate content;

1. Reported to the University.
2. Lose the right to anonymity.
3. Lose access to Unitu.

In addition to this, both staff and students can report any inappropriate or defamatory comments to Unitu directly. The content will be removed and disciplinary action will be taken against the individual responsible for the post.
