Welcome Week for January 2026 will take place from 19th-23rd January, with a range of events taking place each day. Effort should be made by you to attend all events listed within the below timetable.
Events are a chance to gain insight to your chosen degree programme, ask questions and get to know both staff and students in your department. We look forward to meeting you!

This timetable is relevant to those beginning an MSc Management
Thursday 22nd January
MSc Management Programme Introduction - 10:00am - 11:00am, Great Hall 037
This is an overview of the whole programme, including key university support mechanisms that you should be aware of to aid you during your studies with us.
MSc Management Academic Understanding & Engagement - 1:00pm - 3:00pm, Great Hall 037
This session covers key academic points that you need to be aware of before you start. So, this will be student behavior, academic integrity and use of AI; how to find your way around canvas before delving into your fears and expectations to make sure we offer you the best possible support.
Friday 23rd January
Employability & Cultural Awareness session - 11:00am - 2:00pm, Great Hall 037
This session will have an employability panel, looking at key skills, every graduate needs to know when they are looking for that post study job. There is a chance to understand more about cultural diversity and how this impacts our working and studying environment. Finally, we look at how we can develop a community and have some fun activities to break down the barriers people have when they meet for the first time.

Meet your fellow cohort and other January programmes to learn more about how to make the most of your time at Swansea University. Guest speakers will include Discovery, The Student Union and GETACTIVE.

Come and join us to build a community, meet your fellow students and academics. A chance to meet your classmates and lecturers in a more informal setting.
