This section should be read in conjunction with the University’s Guide to Research Student Admissions.
1.1
A visiting/exchange research student is defined as an individual who is currently registered as a student on a research degree programme at a UK university or another university approved by Collaborative Partnerships Board and Senate, and who has applied to spend a specific period of time not normally exceeding one academic or calendar year at Swansea University to undertake research.
Additional terms governing the registration of visiting/exchange students may apply. These will take the form of an agreement between Swansea University and the Student’s home university (the “Agreement”).
1.2
All visiting research students must enrol at Swansea University and pay the appropriate fees prescribed by the University on enrolment. All visiting research students must comply with the University’s academic and general regulations. All exchange students must enrol at Swansea University and will be subject to a nil fee, dependent on the nature of the Agreement. All exchange students must comply with the University’s academic and general regulations.
1.3
All visiting/exchange research students are required to monitor their allocated University email account throughout the period of registration as all electronic correspondence from the University will only be sent to this account. All visiting/exchange research students are strongly advised to use their allocated University email account when communicating with the University.
