Academic Regulations for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (External)
This Doctor of Philosophy is a Swansea awarded research degree that may be studied full or part-time. The research is undertaken externally from the University either independently at a distance, or, in conjunction with a partner HEI/research establishment/workplace in the UK or overseas.
The following categories of students/Methods of Candidature that fall under the ‘External PhD’ single Swansea University award:
- Students studying independently at a distance in the UK or overseas (full-time).
- Students studying independently at a distance in the UK or overseas (part-time).
- Students studying in conjunction with a partner HEI/research establishment/workplace in the UK or overseas (full-time).
- Students studying in conjunction with a partner HEI/research establishment/workplace in the UK or overseas (part-time).
